THE REAL BOTCHED JOKE

''You know, education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don't, you get stuck in Iraq.''~Senator John Kerry

He called it "a botched joke." Yeah, right. He scrambled, as well he should have to cover that ketchup covered mouth of his. At first he proclaimed that it was merely a jab at President Bush that he had messed up. The written "joke" was apparently quite a lengthy one. I read the entire joke as it was originally written. It was posted in the news. He left out not only one word or two. No, he left out more than an entire sentence. A good bit more.

Now, oddly enough, his claim is he only left out the word "us." Uh huh. The spin doctors (Kerry's aides) have said he was supposed to say, "...you get US stuck in Iraq." How curious that his original claim was that the joke was longer, but he messed it up. And suddenly now it was just a one-word blooper. Pfffft.

Liar.

The troops deserve better than that. Far better. And apparently the group of military men pictured above made sure everyone knew how they felt about Kerry's little joke in what is a brilliant "biting" photograph. Bravo!

The only joke in this particular mess is John Kerry. And not even a funny one.

The joke is on all the families who believes Bush. Bush, the very man who did not have the courage to serve in combat like Kerry did, instead hid in Alabama. Bush hoodwinked REPugs in believing day is night, and wrong is right.

Bush lied about Iraq.

Hussein is not Bin Laden

Bin Laden is still on the loose.

There was no WMD. There was a cover up. Children die, but that is all okay, because God told Bush to kill them.

But is is okay, call someone who points this out angry, that will make it all better.

No, Moksha, I am the one who is angry. Angry that young men and women who choose (yes, CHOOSE) to serve our country were essentially called dummies by John Kerry. The same John Kerry whose college grades were very similar to President Bush's...in fact, a tad bit LOWER than Bush's grades.

Your comment really had nothing to do with the idiotic and offensive remark that Kerry made. You are a Bush hater. Fine, be one. But, how you could possibly defend Kerry in this matter is beyond me. Oh, wait! You did not defend him. What you did was avoid THAT altogether. Uh huh.

::shaking my head:: Your hatred for Bush colors everything you say, and makes it a moot point. You cannot even be objective when it comes to something like this. That is sad.

And how curious that you have not commented in my blog for eons, and when I finally post something political (which happens almost never), you are right here jumping in with more of your Bush bashing. Curious, indeed.

I loved this picture when I saw it ... it's a classic, isn't it? A big ole 'pie in the face' for Mr. Kerry ! Tina
